Ampro Productions was founded by

Darrell Humphries 1992 in Houston Texas.

In 1990 Darrell Humphries and Earline Huff
Founded "The Dale Watson Fan Club". (DWFC)

Darrell was the Fan Club President

and Earline was the Vice-President.

We both had no idea what we were doing.

Earline's Job was to keep the Books and

make sure that all the members were satisfied.

We had many projects to keep us busy.

Dale was also very busy, it was very hard

to keep up with all that he was doing.

One thing that Dale had going for him was

the Curb deal. We all thought Dale's time

had came. Dale had just released

"One Tear at a Time".

The record was receiving plenty of air play

around the country. We requested KIKK radio

in Houston, TX to play his song, however Joe Ladd

called us and ask us if we could have the fan club

members stop call him to request Dale's songs.

If you ever met Joe Ladd you'll know
what we are talking about. Joe told Darrell

"We do not have a copy of the song, and If I

had a copy I would be glad to give it air play".

Dick Whitehouse with Curb Records sent

me a radio promo CD. I went to the radio

station and put it in Joe's hand. Still no air play.

Dale made a video for "One Tear at a Time".

The video received substantial play time on CMT.

Well we know you would like to hear more about

Dale Watson, however this page is about Ampro.

You can visit Dale at his website:

The name Ampro comes from Dale himself.

We are not sure where Dale came up with Ampro.

We owe Dale a world of thanks for giving
us the opportunity to do what we do best, Promote.

We found the name "Ampro" on a record

Dale recorded at Sound Masters in Houston

Yes Dale recorded with A.V. Mittelstedt.

The record was (Dales going to kill me)

"Is There Something Wrong" and "Marie Laveau"

We never ask Dale if it was ok to use the name.

We added "Productions". Therefore giving us,

We were worried that Dale might not like

the name but he sent us an E-Mail saying

"I think its cool that you are
keeping the Ampro thing alive".

Well let it be known Ampro Productions

will always do what we can to

"Keep Real Country Music Alive".

As for the Fan Club, we disband it in

1994 because Dale felt that it was wrong

(and we agreed) to make someone pay

to be his fan or to prove their loyalty .

We love the fans, but from now on

the fans will be "The Friends"

In the years since, Ampro Productions has

migrated in to the mobile DJ & Karaoke

entertainment and marketing field.

We have entertained at events with as

many as ten thousand in attendance.

We Are Looking Forward To Meeting You

and working out the details of your next event.
